The Landscaping Committee, chaired by Julian Shaw, has been hard at work for the last few months securing sponsors and creating interest for the 2006 Extreme Yard Makeover. The project was created to provide a yard overhaul for a resident who needed improvements and to raise money for the landscaping committee to be reinvested in the community.

Ticket sales generated $600, part of which will be used toward the makeover. The remainder will be used in future committee projects.

The grand prize, a yard makeover worth over $1,000, was won by Jeremy Gonzales.

Jason Davis and Julian Shaw of the committee collaborated with Mr. Gonzales to create the design plan for the yard, which includes: tree replacement, addition of junipers, relocation of current shrubs, addition of new shrubs, flowers, groundcovers, and more.
