For several years now, the Town of Little Elm has sponsored Santa's Elves. The program attempts to match generous donors with needy families to insure that all children get something from Santa at Christmas. This year the Police and Fire Departments are joining in the activities, by setting up collection boxes at businesses, collecting and helping sort the toys and, on delivery day, taking the toys to homes where parents or guardians have no transportation to come to Town Hall to pick them up.

The program began years ago when a local business person, who wished to remain anonymous, donated $10,000 annually to provide the primary funding for the event. This year, for the first time, that source of funding is no longer available, thus the bulk of the donations are no longer guaranteed. Capital One bank has graciously offered to provide a significant cash contribution, serve as a drop-off location, and set up an angel tree in their lobby to help keep the program alive. We are grateful to them for that. Unfortunately, no one person or business has offered to match the previous anonymous donor’s contribution. Therefore, the Town is urgently seeking a more than usual participation this year from area businesses and citizens to keep this worthwhile effort as successful as it has been in prior years. We are asking that everyone help in any way they can. Specifically, we can use the following:

- Locations at businesses to place collection boxes for toy drop off

- Cash contributions in any amount. (If every family and business in Little Elm only gave $1.00 it would greatly exceed all prior years)

- Sponsor a child, more than one child, or family
